POLICE were called just before 5am today (Thursday, June 14) with reports of a break-in in process at St Mary Magdalene Church in Launceston.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Units attending and following enquiries at the scene and review of CCTV, police identified a suspect.

"A 32-year-old man from the St Austell area has since been arrested on suspicion of burglary. He remains in police custody."
