Following on from the fantastic success of the first Rural Community Fun Day in Halwill Junction last June, Holsworthy Police have announced that this year the event will be held in Bradworthy.

The Fun Day will take place at Bradworthy Primary School and playing fields, on Thursday, May 7 from 3pm to 7pm.

Once again there will be lots of fun and interesting things to see and get involved in including games, an exercise workshop, bushcraft skills from the Forestry Commission, sumo suits, a bouncy castle, BBQ, tack marking, DFRS, kids' activities, raffle, cake stall, art exhibition, the police dog and motorcycle, Bradworthy Vintage Vehicle Museum and lots more.

There will also be the opportunity to find out about various services in the area such as Age Concern, Devon Care and Repair, Wheels to Work, Holsworthy Adult and Community Learning, South West Lakes, Ruby Country, Holsworthy Children's Centre, Torridge District Council, Holsworthy Police Neighbourhood Beat Team, Torridge Grassroots Project, Community Action North Devon, Senior Council, St John Ambulance and local groups such as Bradworthy Archive, Bradworthy Brownies and Guides, Bradworthy Credit Union, Bradworthy Carnival Committee, Bradworthy Playing Fields Committee, Bradworthy Smart Club and the Young Farmers.

Sgt Pennie Channing, Neighbourhood Team Leader said: "Everyone is welcome, there will be something for all ages and it's free to get in with lots of freebies on offer — don't miss it!"
