Eight-year-old Bradworthy Primary School pupil, Mia Johns, recently appeared at Wembley Stadium as a mascot prior to England's match against Mexico. Mia won the opportunity to line up alongside the World Cup hopefuls after winning a competition, in which she correctly answered the question 'Who has won the most England caps?' with 'Peter Shilton'. Mia's mum, Justine Johns, said: "It was a lovely day and a fantastic evening. We had to be at Wembley at 5pm, for Mia to gather with the other mascots for rehearsals and kit inspections." Mia got to meet the whole England team, where she shook hands and said hello to David Beckham and James Milner, with whom she was going to be walking out on to the pitch. Justine continued: "The players and mascots went out on to the field just before 8pm. The National Anthem was sung and we (family) went up to watch the game. There was lots of preparation beforehand and the families of the mascots all sat together." She added: "We went to Wembley on the Sunday and came back on the Tuesday. The weather was hot and couldn't have been better. It was a really good experience and Mia loved every minute."
