Bradworthy's milkman, John Balsdon, who is in his 70s, has retired after 32 years of delivering milk to people of the village. John made his last delivery on December 31. His longtime customers have extended their thanks to him for the service, which he provided in all weathers and now he can have a longer rest in bed and not get up just after 5.30 every morning.

LONG SERVICE TO THE VILLAGE: Both John and his wife Maureen Balsdon (pictured) will semi-retire and Balsdons Shop will be under the management of their daughter, Mrs Tracey Heal. Picture: Dawn Bewes, Holsworthy.
