In November, Bradworthy Short Mat Bowling Club held their annual tournament, which has been sponsored for a number of years by HJ Wickett & Co, Motor Engineers of Bradworthy, and is intended to raise funds for local good causes. The tournament attracted an entry of 15 teams from North Devon Bowling Clubs, the winners being the team from Anstey. It was decided this year the proceeds would be split between Bradworthy Over 55s Club and Bradworthy Friendship Club, each receiving a cheque for £240.
