MEMBERS and friends of Bodmin Street Methodist Church, Holsworthy, have been collecting items over the past month for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child appeal.

Donations of toys, stationery, toiletries, hats, gloves and other items have been collected up and on Wednesday, November 16, helpers had a packing morning and were able to fill over 30 boxes ready to be sent to a child in need this Christmas.

More than 60 further boxes have also been handed in by members of the public, as the chapel was also a Drop-Off location.

The Bude and Holsworthy Methodist superintendent minister, the Rev Simon Leigh, blessed all these gifts as they started their journey towards their young recipients.

A huge thank-you goes to all those who donated and who were involved in the practical side of packing and processing.
