AN ardent volunteer has called it a day after more than two decades' service at the Pop-In centre in Camelford.

Dot Lee, who has been volunteering at the centre for 22 years, said she had the most enjoyable years creating some 'lovely' memories.

She started at the centre when it was open all day during the week. She recalled picking strawberries during mornings in the summer and serving them with fresh cream teas in the afternoon.

One of the residents described Dot as a 'very dependable lady'.

Committee member Jean Brown said: "On behalf of the committee I would like to thank Dot for all the wonderful voluntary effort she has put in over the past 22 years to keep the Pop In centre going."
