THE whole village of Boscastle was invited to the school recently to help the children celebrate the opening of their new 'valley.'

This half acre site comprises a large play, raised beds and a wild garden.

Headteacher, Sarah Duffy said: "We have been planning this development for many years. My predecessor Mr Neil Young convinced the county to purchase the area and designed the original project with the help of Mrs Joan Cork (chair of governors). Unfortunately the project has suffered many delays and I am very grateful to the governors of the school and Kingsley Uglow, our contractor, for their persistence and determination to complete this project.
