THE theme of the annual supper cabaret night held at the Otterham and St Juliot Hall on Saturday was 'A Night at the Music Hall.'

The performance was dedicated to the memory of the late Michael Turner. Michael created 'The Boscastle Cave of Harmony,' which annually presented a week long season of traditional music hall entertainment and which always played to packed houses.

The show enabled the Boscastle Players to take a trip down memory lane for the 2010 Cabaret Supper Night and reprise some of the favourite acts from past programmes together with a sprinkling of some new additions.

After a hearty buffet supper the capacity audience were able to sit back and be transported to the bygone days of Music Hall with plenty of songs and laughter as members of the cast performed favourite turns, such as 'The Vicar and I Will Be There,' 'Why Am I Always the Bridesmaid?' and 'The Sunshine of Your Smile.'

The proceeds from the event were for the re-building fund of the hall.

The Boscastle Players rehearse regularly to ensure that their performances are up to the high standards achieved previously and this year they are under the watchful eye of producer David Lamond and musical director Jo Naylor.

Because of the heavy snow earlier this month the Boscastle performances in the Village Hall, have been re-scheduled to February 19 and 20.
