LAUNCESTON’S Railway Circle has received a £200 boost thanks to the town’s Rotary Club Community Shop.

Les Whaley, Launceston Railway Circle chairman, approached the Rotary Community Shop for help in purchasing a laptop and projector.

The group wants to use these facilities to show DVDs of railways from the 1960s to date.

Mr Whaley expects to receive contributions from his members but asked Rotary to start the ball rolling. The Rotary Shop was pleased to help and presented £200 to the circle.

The Railway Circle Club meets in the Dingley Hall eight times a year with an extra four meetings in the summer.
