MORE than £400 has been raised for charity at a coffee morning in Boyton.

The event featured a 'guess the weight of the cake' competition and copious cups of tea and coffee. The cake, created and donated by Fliss and Lee of Naughty Bites, weighed 6lbs and was won by Mrs Win Clarke.

Event organiser, Jenny Smith has extended her thanks to everyone who supported the event and those who helped during the day. She said: "We are all thrilled with this result. The money will be spent providing Marie Curie nurses to help people with terminal illness in Cornwall."

A total of £432 was raised at the coffee morning, which was held on Saturday, March 21.
