LAUNCESTON District Guides recently held a curry and casserole evening at the town hall to raise funds for their trip to Switzerland in April. They raised an amazing £780. Jill Jeffs helped to organise the event. She works for Barclays Bank, which is going to match fund the amount raised. Thanks were expressed to Margaret Young and the Youth Council, who paid for the hiring of the hall for the guides. Thanks were also extended to everyone who has supported the group’s fundraising events over the last year. Guides and helpers are pictured during the event.
