BUDE Friends of the Earth (BoFE) has received a £150 cheque from the Neetside Community Centre towards the group’s community orchard project in the town.
BoFE was formed in June 2009 and have undertaken a number of projects, including working with Bude-Stratton Town Council to create a bee world/biodiversity trail and the community orchard, which they hope to start in the coming months, once funding has been received.
The group meets at the Tree Inn, Stratton, at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month and everyone is welcome.
Friends of the Earth local volunteer groups work to improve the environment locally, nationally and internationally by connecting more people with the environment and persuading politicians, businesses and others to see things differently.
