THE Port William’s first family fireworks and Hallowe’en event was a great success.
In excess of 400 locals attended the event at Trebarwith Strand, including many who dressed up in fancy dress.
Various fundraising activities, including a raffle and guess the weight of the pumpkin, raised £228 for Tintagel Primary School and £116 for Tintagel Carnival.
Mike Goff, general manager, said: “It was fantastic to get so many local people back to the Port William, I’m hoping this will be the start of an annual event. The team here have worked extremely hard to make this a success and we have had so many people say how much they enjoyed the night!”
