A POSTMAN will be joining fellow supporters to raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance by cycling from London to Paris later this year.
Geoff Morris works as a postman delivering mail to Camelford, He and his wife Julie have been passionate supporters of the air ambulance since moving to this area in 2007.
They hold an annual cream tea and cakes fundraiser in Crackington Haven each July which is now in its seventh year — so far this has raised more than £5,000 for the air ambulance.
Additionally this year, Geoff will be joining fellow supporters in cycling from London to Paris to try and raise even more money.
This will be held during September and is a distance of 295 miles over five days, starting from the Thames Embankment and finishing under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Geoff said: "I will be 63 this year and although my work keeps me physically fit, the distance we're cycling will be a difficult challenge for me but it is one I intend to complete. I have been amazed by everyone's generosity and encouragement."
