INVESTIGATIONS into the cause of a fire which swept through a bungalow in St Breward are continuing after the body of a man was found.
Over 30 firefighters attended the fire which started at Claylands, St Breward, at around 4.30pm on Friday, January 25. Neighbouring properties were also evacuated.
Firefighters from Delabole were on the scene first, with two other crews from Bodmin soon after. Further calls were made for a water carrier from Wadebridge and more help from Delabole.
The small bungalow, measuring eight metres by six metres, was "well alight" when fire crews arrived, and had spread to the adjoining bungalow.
The occupant of the first bungalow was unaccounted for and the owners of the adjoining property are locally believed to have only recently purchased the bungalow and had not yet moved in.
