BRIGHTENING up the town with floral displays, the Holsworthy in Bloom competition will run again this year.
On Monday, July 4, during St Peters Fair Week, Mayor Jon Hutchings will be judging the following categories for Holsworthy in Bloom 2016: Best Hanging Basket Flowers; Best Overall Commercial Flowers; Best Holsworthy Residents Garden.
Entries must be made before July 1, 2016 ahead of the judging day on July 4. Winners of the individual categories will be awarded a prize.
A Holsworthy Town Council spokesperson said: “With this fantastic weather and of course our expertise help from our newly appointed Handyman, the flowers in the Square, the entrance signs to Holsworthy, as well as Badock Gardens are blooming and making Holsworthy look even more inviting being bright and colourful.
“So to follow this, Mayor Hutchings has decided to keep up with the Holsworthy tradition for the Best Holsworthy Residents Garden, plus adding two further entries which we are all very excited about.”
