THE latest event organised by Woburn Residents’ Association, in Launceston, was a ‘Cream Tea on the Green’ when a large gathering enjoyed a sunny afternoon sitting and chatting in the sunshine.

The day saw the association making use of their new marquee for the first time and everyone agreed it was a good investment.

As well as teas, there were games for the children and grown ups alike to enjoy.

The reason behind the event was to raise funds for the Blood Bikers and this amounted to £250 as well as making a small donation to St Mary’s Church.

The committee extended its thanks to all the Woburn residents who turned up to help erect the marquee and make the teas and of course to all those whose attendance made the day so successful.
