THE Bishop of Truro, Right Reverend Tim Thornton paid a visit to Blisland Church to attend a Cluster Sunday morning service for Blisland with Temple, Helland, and St Breward Church Parishes. He gave the sermon and partook in giving communion and the local cluster choir also performed. Following the service, the bishop spoke informally to the full congregation, composed of members of all the churches of the cluster and local communities, about an exciting project unfolding in the diocese to encourage new initiatives in the parishes and entitled Accompanied Ministry Development. The intention is to give extra support to the clergy and to draw in fresh thinking and encourage congregation members to become more involved in planning and taking part. For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
