Trevor Tucker of Whitstone recently celebrated his 65th birthday with a party held at Hedley Wood Caravan Park, Bridgerule. Donations in lieu of gifts were received for Children's Hospice South West. The total raised was £1,351. Trevor thanked his guests on the night and also all of his friends who could not make the party but had sent donations. Trevor then revealed where all the fund raising money had gone since 1986: Leukaemia Fund (£570), Cancer Research UK (£1,223.50), Air Ambulance (£325), Wheelchair Fund (£220), Disabled Children's Home (£383), Heart Foundation (£50), Multiple Sclerosis (£330), Epilepsy (£1,460), CLIC (£170), Macmillan Nurses (£280), Breast Cancer (£1,000), Peninsula Medical School (£1,250), Children's Hospice South West (£6,036), making a total of £13,297.50. Trevor then said, he may be 65 but he was not stopping yet. His next plant sale will be in April 2009 and he said he was looking forward to seeing everyone then. "Thanks once again," said Trevor.
