THERE were angry scenes when a civil enforcement officer swooped on motorcycles left in a 'traditional' parking area in Teignmouth town centre.

The bikers have parked their machines on racks at the Northumberland Place/Somerset Place junction for years without problem.

But an officer suddenly appeared on Saturday, and began issuing tickets, much to the annoyance of the riders, many of them in business in the area.
