ON A gorgeous sunny weekend, Poundstock Gildhouse held its annual craft fair and pumpkin festival from October 20 to 21, in the Gildhouse and St Winwaloe’s Church.

For those wanting food items, homemade preserves, fudge and cakes were available to buy along with refreshments and light lunches provided by Gildhouse volunteers.
The average size of the biggest pumpkins was the best for some years, which is particularly good considering the hot and dry early summer. Both adult and children classes for best carved pumpkin were of the usual high standard, with much thought going into them. Peter Roberts came first with his pumpkin weighing a whopping 44kg!
