THE Friends of Holsworthy Primary School are planning their biggest and best event for this year to raise money for the school.
They will work alongside the Holsworthy Area Sports Pavillion (HASP) to host the event on Saturday (September 23), in the school grounds with a theme of ‘Party in the Playground’.
Last June, the Friends held a ‘Wedding Ball’ to raise funds for the school. It was very successful and this year their plans are bigger and better.
During the day there will be a community fete and will involve many local organisations in the town. One of those organisations is HASP, who the Friends have asked to be partners in this exciting event.
HASP is the management committee for the pavilion in Stanhope Park and is formed by the Holsworthy Cricket Club and Holsworthy Youth Football Club. The pavilion is going to be home to both clubs and HASP has great ambitions for this amazing facility and its future.
At the community fete there will be bouncy castles, various games, tombolas, the stocks and refreshments served throughout the day.
There will also be a children’s disco at the fete.
The evening event is for adults only. There will be a disco by ‘Silver Fox Trott’ David Trott, a barbeque and a bar.
A raffle will be held on the day of the Party in the Playground.
All profits from this event will be split equally between the Friends and HASP.
