AS the Bude/Stratton Branch of the British Heart Foundation enter a new financial year they were pleased to be able to present two pieces of life saving medical equipment for the local community. Although the main focus of the British Heart Foundation is the funding of research and education the Bude fund raising committee have a tradition of helping the local medical services whenever possible.

An ECG machine was donated to the Neetside Surgery at a cost of £2,000 and a defibrillator was provided to the Launceston Rugby Club, the £1,200 cost being jointly funded by the Bude BHF committee and the North Cornwall District Council.
