THE League of Friends of Launceston Hospital and Community has recently purchased three Nimbus 4 pressure relieving mattresses for use by the patients at the hospital.

The mattresses came to a combined price of over £11,000. Two special electric recliner chairs for use on the wards, costing £1,388, were also purchased by the league.

This was made possible by the support given to the league by the people of Launceston and the surrounding area.
