IN THIS feature, the Post has teamed up with Bob Willingham from Studio Southwest to bring you the 'Best of Bude'.
In this seventh tribute, the last personality Jackie Walter has nominated Len Tozer.
Jackie said: "I met Len when I first came to Budehaven to teach. He had a fantastic relationship with all the pupils and staff alike.
"Everyone knew Len for his enthusiasm, great teaching and kindness. He would always put himself out to help others and he did everything he could to ensure that his pupils succeeded not only in class but in the community.
"He was truly inspirational then — dare I say it, nearly 40 years ago — and he has continued to be so.
"Since retiring he has given his time to schools by acting as a governor, to many groups by being on their committees and to the community by being a member of the Blanchminster Trust.
"Len has taught many Bude families and he still remembers most of their names, he is a true candidate for the Best of Bude."
