ST Swithin’s Church at Launcells held its annual craft fayre recently.

The church was transformed into a show place for local artists and artisans. Every day visitors were met by 45 stalls with exciting and interesting ware.

There were paintings, knit ware, handmade cards, jams and chutneys, fudge, plants etc. Visitors could also enjoy teas, coffees, cream teas, lunches, and wonderful cakes!

Of course any event like this is supported by a great team and at St Swithin’s they are — Dee Wynne-Morter, Rose Harwood, Jan Hunt and Lilian Quinn.

Thanks were also expressed to Megan Dalgluish and Mary Mc Brinn, and PCC members and the congregation who helped with cooking and serving.

A spokesperson for the event said: “This has been our best craft fayre ever and we are already planning the 2018 fayre.”
