RESIDENTS of Tintagel came in good number to enjoy a hearty English breakfast and raise funds for charity, Cornish Hospices, on Saturday, March 26. Held at the Tintagel Methodist Schoolrooms, the breakfast went down well with all who went along and a brilliant total of £1,000 was raised in the process. The first person arrived at 7.20am, and the event ran through to 2pm. John Stratton, who helped on the day, said that the breakfast was well attended, adding that thanks must go to everyone who went along and donated as well as those who helped with the organisation. "It was a very good day and we are grateful to everyone involved. It wasn't organised by anyone in particular, it was a real village event, and thanks must go to the people who helped out. We had the best breakfast in Cornwall!" He also acknowledged Gladys Cook's contribution to the successful day.
