A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD boy from Pyworthy will be putting his best foot forward to raise funds for North Devon Hospice's Long House Appeal. Ben McKenzie will be climbing Wales' highest peak, Mount Snowdon, later this month to raise money for the appeal, which aims to build a hospice outreach centre in Holsworthy. Ben was inspired was take on the challenge for the hospice after his sister, aged 13, was the youngest participant in the charity's River Swim event last year. He said: "We've known lots of family and friends who have needed the hospice to help look after them, so I wanted to do something to help, "My sister Jemma did the River Swim last year and really enjoyed raising money for the cause so I'm really proud to do my bit now too."
