The first Launceston Ladies Captain's evenings of the season was held on Tuesday

The Ladies Captains and the Dunheved Ladies Away Day was held at Ashbury, the day started chilly then the 'rains' came and didn't stop

so it was decided to make the day a 15 hole competition.

Ladies 1st, Chris Gee & Adele Fletcher 34pts; 2nd, Jan Harrison & Margaret Garvin 33pts on back 6; 3rd, Sharon Powell & Irene Bessell 33pts; 4th, Bridget Christophers & Debbie Thomas 31pts.

Dunheved Ladies 1st, Anita Bowden & Jane Gratton 37pts; 2nd, Rosie Russell & Sally Jones 33pts on back 6; Jackie Mansbridge & Jean Parnell 33pts; Angela Campbell & Rosemary Feierabend 30pts.

Best front 9 Irene Butler & Pam Wevill, and best back 6, Penny Leaver and Helen Davey.

Thursday 18th a stableford with 3 in a team 1 score on par 5's, 2 on par 4's and the tricky par 3's all 3 to count.

The winners with an amazing score of 81pts were Cheryl Howard, Bridget Hayes, and Heather Jasper; 2nd, Gwen Stoneman, Joan Cawley, and Jan Harrison 70pts; 3rd, Adele Fletcher, Dolly Avery and Sylvia Brown 69 on back 9; 4th, Wendy Collins, Elaine Thomas and Carol Sandercock 69pts; 5th, Anthea Kelsey, Pauline Carr and Roma McMahon 66pts.

Saturday 20th saw the Ted Dyer Trophy a foursomes stableford being played for, again in perfect weather conditions on a course that is looking magnificent thanks must go to our hardworking green staff.
