THE Environment Agency is asking people to be vigilant as flood warnings remain in force during Storm Eleanor.

The North Cornwall Coast at Bude still has a flood warning in place following this morning’s high tide at 6.09am.

Issuing the warning, the Environment Agency said: “Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water on roads around Bencoolen Road and Public Car Park, The Strand, The Crescent, Bude Bowling Club and Neetside Surgery. People are advised to avoid risk areas and take care near the coast.”

The Environment Agency said communities along the north coast of Devon and Cornwall could be affected until tomorrow (Thursday).
