A BEAWORTHY driver has been banned from the road for two years and fined £350 after pleading guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Public Notices: Roadworks scheduled for January confirmed by councilMr John Francis Peter O'Connell, aged 61, of St Albans House, Beaworthy, pleaded guilty at Bodmin Magistrates' Court on December 31, to failing to provide a specimen of blood for a laboratory test at Launceston on November 18 last year.
The court disqualified him for two years, fined him £350 and ordered him to pay £85 in Crown Prosecution Service costs and £15 victim surcharge.
The disqualification will be reduced by 24 weeks if Mr O'Connell satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State by May 15 this year.
