A 40-month ban from the road was part of the punishment when a man from Camelford pleaded guilty to drink/driving at Bodmin Magistrates' Court.
Mr Stuart Neil Burnard, aged 38, c/o an address at Clease Meadows, Camelford, pleaded guilty to driving a Citroen Berlingo van at Victoria Road, Camelford, on November 7, with 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Mr Burnard was also fined £120, with £85 Crown Prosecution costs, and £15 victim surcharge.
He was disqualified from driving for 40 months.
The magistrates said his guilty plea had been taken into account when sentencing.
