BUDE WI has been recognised for significant membership increase — the largest in the county.
Members received the St Kea Trophy in recognition of its 69% increase in membership, bringing the total number to sixty-one.
They have put it down to the committee's hard work under the inspiring leadership of president Carol Sparham.
Over the past year the WI has formed special interest groups ranging from craft to slimming, photography, singing and the book club.
A spokesperson for the club said: "These small groups encourage the formation of new friendships in more intimate settings.
"One lady, who recently moved to Bude, said, 'I feel just like I'm at my old WI'."
