CHEQUES were presented recently to Tregadillett Age Concern and Dunheved Bowling Club from the July to August round of the Tesco Bags of Help scheme.
Tregadillett Age Concern will use its £2,000 towards a new kitchen for its building in the village. Dunheved Bowling Club have purchased a defibrillator for the club with their £1,000.
To date, 42 projects voted for at the Launceston store have received £143,000 since 2016. The voting period lasts for two months with groups being awarded £4,000, £2,000 and £100 depending on how many votes they receive.
The current projects for November and December are Friends of Lifton School, Trekenner Primary School and North Cornwall Duke of Edinburgh’s Open Award Centre.
Projects that bring benefit to their community will get the green light — these range from improving community buildings and outdoor spaces to buying new equipment, training coaches or volunteers and hosting community events.
