BADGERS have been blamed for the destruction of over 80 per cent of the newly planted trees in Camelford cemetery recently.

Camelford Deputy Mayor, Cllr Andy Shaw is in charge of the project where 100 trees were being planted. The trees had been supplied free of charge to the council.

Town clerk, Marian Sedgwick, had first received the report from a resident who had thought cows had damaged around half the trees.
