DESPITE the heavy rain lots of villagers and visitors went along to see the exhibits, enjoy afternoon tea and took part in the tombola at the Treknow Village Garden Club Show, held recently.

The show had been postponed from July due to the lack of produce and flowers earlier in the year with the hope that things would improve. All classes had entries, although maybe down on previous years with still continuing difficult conditions.

The children's entries stretched the imagination with drawings of Cornish Giants to Gardens on Plates.
