THE mayor of Camelford’s autumn challenge has been a great success, with plenty of fun and beautiful Christmas cards set to be sent out this festive season.

Mayor Kirsty Ferguson set residents the task to design and create the perfect Christmas card, the winners of which would have their card printed and sent out to organisations and people this Christmas by Cllr Ferguson.

Following the deadline of entries, and the difficult judging process, the winners were selected on November 3. Cllr Ferguson said: “Thank you to everyone who entered my autumn challenge to design a Christmas card. I was so glad I wasn’t judging the age categories!” Winners of the four age categories were Callum Kinder, Livvy Ferguson and Zara Elliott.

Presentations of awards to the winners will be made on December 1 during the Camelford lights switch-on event, with the timing yet to be confirmed.

Results:

Age seven to eleven category: Winner, Callum Kinder; highly commended, Millie Holman.

Age 12 to 17 category: Winner, Livvy Ferguson; highly commended, Kate Glazzard.
