LAUNCESTON Lions welcomed fellow Lions from Australia at its recent meeting. Two members from the Lions Club of Launceston, Windmill Hill, Tasmania, Byron and Linda Dilworth were welcomed to the town by the mayor and mayoress, Cllr Dave Gordon and Carole, as well as the deputy mayor and mayoress Lion Brian Hogan and honorary Lion Anita White. They attended the Lions' meeting, which commenced with a dinner, followed by the monthly meeting. Gifts, pins, badges, booklets and banners were then exchanged. Byron then entertained members with stories about his club and Australia. It is hoped that a formal twinning arrangement will be formed with the two clubs.
