BUDE Police have reported that between 12.45pm and 12.50pm on Wednesday, January 21, two men attempted to burgle a property in Kilkhampton by distracting the elderly resident.

One of the men has been described as white, early 30s and approximately 5ft 5ins in height. He was clean shaven and wore a black knitted hat with a peak, a black jacket and tan coloured polished shoes. Police said his accent was not local and he could possibly be foreign.
The second man has been described as in his 30s, taller and slimmer than the first with short, mousy hair. He was clean shaven, had an oval face and was wearing a black fleece type jacket.
The men made off without taking anything in this instance.
