TWO men were arrested after they allegedly assaulted an off duty police officer in Victoria Square, Holsworthy, at about 9.15pm on Saturday.
It is alleged that the officer identified himself as a police officer but was struck and kicked by the two men, aged 48 and 26 years. The officer sustained minor injuries.
Both men were arrested and taken to Barnstaple Police Station. They later agreed to accept police cautions for the incident.
