ASHWATER Pre-school has been awarded 'outstanding' in its recent Ofsted report.

The group was first registered in 1993 and operates from the ground floor of the school house, in the grounds of the village primary school.

It caters for up to 14 children from two to five-years-old and is led by a play leader, Alison Hampton, who holds Early Years Professional Status, and supported by an assistant, Kelly Henderson, who holds an NVQ3 childcare qualification. Both members of staff have been in post for all three of the last inspections.

There are three additional members of staff/volunteers who work regularly within the setting: Christine Knight (NVQ4) Rebecca Osborne and Victoria Yelland (Both NVQ2).
