RESIDENTS of Bude and the surrounding area now have the opportunity to learn Cornish under the tutelage of a qualified teacher.

Twelve people are already attending the Bude meetings, which are run under the Keskewsel umbrella — the others being in St Austell, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Camelford.

Many at the Bude meets are complete beginners, but a handful have learnt some of the language before, whilst one or two are quite advanced.
