A THRIVING artistic quarter of Teignmouth has been nicknamed Teignwich, after the bohemian Greenwich Village in New York.

A group of artists who are closely associated with the TAAG centre in Northumberland Place have banded together under the tag Teignwich Village Artists, which is the name given to their exhibition which runs there until Friday.

The town is rapidly gaining an artistic, as well as a musical, reputation.
