FIRE crews tackled three lorries on fire at Pennygillam Industrial Estate at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning (June 21).
Fire control said the caller who reported the incident said they had heard an explosion and could see flames coming from a nearby property.
Two crews from Launceston were sent to the incident with a supervisory officer, and after three lorries were found to be well alight with the possibility of spread to nearby buildings, two further crews, from Liskeard and Callington, attended.
A specialist appliance from St Austell and another supervisory officer also attended the incident.
Crews used four breathing apparatus sets, two main jets and a hose reel to tackle the fire.
At around 2.40am, fire crews reported they were damping down, using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one main jet.
A spokesperson from Launceston Community Fire Station said arson is suspected, with investigations to be carried out as the Post went to press, with CCTV cameras in the area to be reviewed.
