PLAYING to a sellout audience, there was a fantastic array of acts who performed at the first #BigUpBude Talent show.

The #BigUpBude Talent Show, held on Saturday night, was put together by volunteers Maria Smith, Oliver Woods, Virginia Zagnoiev, Fay Hargreaves and Debbie Cousins, who have been planning this event for nearly a year.

The idea came from the 'BigUpBude' day in April last year, after Bude Job Centre brought together local businesses, community members and job seekers. A project was created on the Crowdfunder Cornwall website to raise funds to produce the show. The #BigUpBude Talent Show was one of the first projects to be fully funded within the 45 day timeframe.

Mrs Cousins said: "Thanks to the fantastic Bude community, 116% of the requested amount was raised within 39 days! The primary supporters were Edward Chapman, Dave Pritchard and Alan Biggs who very generously provided the backing needed to put the show on."
