PEOPLE from Widemouth Bay and beyond dressed in warm clothing and braved the wintry weather just after Christmas for the Widemouth Task Force Christmas beach clean recently.

On Thursday, December 28, 51 people took to Widemouth beach to take part in clearing around 110kg of rubbish that had washed up there.

Participants were then met with mulled wine, cake and mince pies after the clean, which received a very warm welcome.

Widemouth Task Force’s next beach clean will take place at the end of January or beginning of February, with further details to come nearer the time.

The task force extended thanks to everyone who attended the beach clean and helped to collect so much rubbish.
