THE Army Cadets of Holsworthy have been rewarded for their achievements during the detachment’s annual inspection recently.

Major Leigh Skelton of 243 Field Hospital carried out the inspection.

Following a uniform inspection and conversation with each cadet, Major Skelton was invited to inspect the training groups as they undertook a variety of activities including drill, fieldcraft first aid and physical achievment.

During the final parade Major Skelton presented a number of awards.

These included ‘First Aid in the Workplace’, presented to Sjt Ella Hughes; Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards to Cpl Kieran Fraser and cadet Billy Head; ‘Full Bore Shooting Pass’ badges to LCpl Tilly Daniel and cadets Harry Fackrell and Sophia Brown.

‘First Class Full Bore Shooting’ badges were presented to cadets Alexander Vassilakis and Joel Stokes; Senior 3-Star badges to LCpls Sam Williams and James Doyle.

Major Skelton said: “It was good to see so many young people happily enjoying the activities provided for them at Holsworthy Detachment.”
