THE Most Revd Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, said it was "humbling" to see the work people of the Launceston community put into supporting the needy, following his visit to the town's Foodbank and Money Advice Centre on Friday, writes Luke Smith.
The facility, based at Newport Industrial Estate, was the Archbishop's first stop on a three-day pastoral visit to Cornwall. The county, he said, is a special place to come and the visit marks his first full pastoral diocesan trip since he became Archbishop, at the beginning of the year.
He said: "I have been looking forward to it, and I am sure I will find, as I have done here in Launceston, that I receive far more than I can give."
