THE deadline for applications to the Cornwall Community Foundation’s ‘Papillon Fund‘, which was set up for the benefit of those residing in the parishes of St Thomas and South Petherwin, has been extended.
The fund supports community projects with grants between £250 and £1,000 — with larger sums only being awarded in exceptional circumstances.
One of the most recent awards from the fund was put towards the refurbishment of the village clock face on St Paternus Church.
The Papillon Fund has awarded more than £21,000 to community organisations in St Thomas and South Petherwin since it opened in 2015.
Including Launceston Amateur Dramatic Society, Launceston Camera Club, Launceston cricket Club, South Petherwin Cricket Club, Tregadillett Community Hall and Tregadillett and District Age Concern.
Applications from out of area organisations may be considered on the condition the beneficiaries attending the project reside within the qualifying parishes.
The deadline for applications is now Friday, September 28. For more information visit www.cornwallcommunityfoundation.com
